What do the aircraft-fit stars mean? Scored for: twin turboprop (King Air class)
  • ★★★ Strong fit for the selected aircraft
  • ★★★ Good match, but with extra hurdles such as local registration, a partner or a specific sensor
  • ★★★ Weak fit: wrong platform, a specialist sensor, a small area or a long ferry
  • – No flying (data only)

Rules: the tender's platform (fixed-wing, helicopter, drone), required altitude, payload and equipment (fire tank, bucket, scooper, spray), endurance, low-level or over-water work, area size, specialist sensors, and local registration or ferry distance. Fire tenders: helicopters suit bucket/helitack jobs, SEATs suit tenders for single-engine or fixed-wing tankers (and spraying, vector control, bait drops), large tankers suit amphibious, scooper or large/very large air-tanker tenders; a stated tank size or type is applied. Fixed-wing survey aircraft only fit fire spotting or air-attack coordination. A first view, not bid advice.

Sveriges geologiska undersökning (SGU, Geological Survey of Sweden)EuropeRef. TED 639800-2026Estimated about SEK 6 million
Aircraft fit ★★★ for twin turboprop (King Air class) · tender platform: Fixed-wing
Fixed-wing, low-level geophysical flying for the national survey suits a twin turboprop. Very short deadline; a Swedish/EASA operator set-up is almost certainly required. Worth watching for the next round.

Aircraft fit ★★★ for twin turboprop (King Air class) · tender platform: Fixed-wing
Long over-water mag lines suit a twin turboprop's range and endurance. Needs a magnetometer installation (stinger/STC). Documents in French; bidding with a French/EU partner is realistic.

Aircraft fit ★★★ for twin turboprop (King Air class) · tender platform: Fixed-wing
Exactly the right kind of work, but GeM registration, Indian experience and turnover rules make it a partner/sub-contractor bid. Official GeM portal could not be reached; confirmed via two independent tender listings.

City of TshwaneAfricaRef. ED 01-2026/27
Aircraft fit ★★★ for twin turboprop (King Air class) · tender platform: Fixed-wing
A King Air-class twin is a common camera/LiDAR platform for city-scale blocks. South African CSD registration and B-BBEE scoring apply, so realistic with a local partner.
